This doc-fiction is a (re)construction, a (re)collection of the memory of the return in Haifa. It is an imaginary memory of the return in Haifa. Razan AlSalah imagines that her grandmother was able to return to Haifa when she was still alive, through Google Street view, which today is the only way to see Palestine, the only way that Razan can see Palestine.
About the director
Razan works through a wide range of images, texts and installation practices that investigate the politics of disappearance/appearance of places and bodies in worlds of colonial imagery, breaking down these viewpoints in other places where colonialism no longer makes sense. She has shown her work at community and international film festivals and galleries. Razan herself teaches moving images and intermediate products at Concordia University in Tiohtià:ke (Montreal).
